MedAffairs is the society for pre-med and biomedical students and our aim is to prepare students for a career in the biomedical field. To do this, we organise interesting guest lectures by physicians and researchers. Of course we also organise fun activities such as field trips and practical events.
For example, we organize an annual trip to the radiology department of the VUmc, where the head of the department gives us a tour, shows us how to perform an ultrasound, and explains how to interpret radiological images.
Furthermore, we also have a GP lecture where a local GP comes in with a patient, and together we go through the process of anamnesis and learn about patient communication skills.
These are just two examples of the many fun events we organize every semester. Do you think we are the society for you? Come to one of our events, or check out our Facebook page!
